The Musical Chamber is an unusual room in the palace of the Queen of Merryland which adjoins the Laughing Chamber. It is called the Musical Chamber because each item of furniture or accoutrement plays a sweet, pleasant music when used. The velvet carpet is a delicate green scattered with lilies-of-the-valley. The furniture is covered with white brocaded silk and the bedstead is carved of pure ivory. The pillow covers are creamy-white silk embroidered with white flowers. The bedspread is white with diamonds sewn into it and diamond beads fringe the edges.
