Paul Baynes (1560-1617) a Puritan cleric and a Calvinist, he succeeded William Perkins (1558-1602) at Cambridge University. Baynes wrote a Commentary on Ephesians and Beware of a strong head and a cold heart. He was instrumental in the conversion and instruction of Richard Sibbes (1577-1635), who himself became one of the most successful preachers of the Puritan era.
