  • Undead Dragon is an enemy in Final Fantasy Dimensions.
  • The Undead dragon fights the party alongside La-Ilim at the Nautica Plains but La-Ilim flees before he is defeated. He summons the dragon again in the Surmania Ruins but, this time, he is destroyed.
  • Undead dragons are the remains of fallen dragons that have risen and/or been withered through necromancy or other means and originated from the different dragonflights. They can appear usually as reanimated bones. Some are controlled by the Scourge under the Lich King, while others are raised or controlled by other powerful individuals.

  • Undead Dragons, also known as Zombies, are a special breed of dragon only obtainable via a creation process, as well as being an original species of Dragon Cave. Attempting to revive a deceased dragon or hatchling (either killed or purposely allowed to die) has a slim chance of resulting in an Undead dragon. Undeads and have been subject to controversy due to the death of dragons required to create them. They are only visible on scrolls between 12AM - 6AM (EST); at all other times, they take the form of a tombstone sprite. As of May 21, 2016, Undeads now have sub-type specific sprites, an update that was part of Dragon Cave's 10th Birthday release, with different appearances depending on their original breed's morphology.

  • It is said that the first Undead Dragons were created by the malicious bonelords who are known to meddle with undeath and necromancy. Created as a weapon in some ancient war, the first Undead Dragons proved to be so powerful that they could not be controlled by their masters. They broke free of the bonelords' subterranean bone fencings and wreaked havoc on their own. The escaped Undead Dragons served as role models for other dragons who longed for this seeming immortality. Even though only a few dragons walked the shadow path that ultimately led to the embrace of unlife, those who did began to transform into even more powerful and threatening beings which finally developed to Undead Dragons. More similar to the lich than the usual undead, they have kept more of their former personality and knowledge than undeads of other races are able to. Their new powers make easily up for the loss of some of their dragon skills.
