Frankie Dean is a barber who sought the help of his regular customer, NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs in proving that Dean's son, Cameron was not a serial killer named "The Dead Rose Slasher". Although NCIS managed to clear Cameron's name as a suspect, because of the leading Detective in the case, Quinton Shard, managing to deduce Cameron's identity from reading the file upside down despite NCIS's best efforts, they ended up arresting him, which also resulted in his becoming temporarily estranged with his father when he learned about his involvement in NCIS trying to investigate him. Frankie Dean eventually made up with his son (an event that Gibbs was implied to have arranged.)
