abstract
  • ' 'Golgathium is a chemical element with the symbol Go and an atomic weight of 121. Golgathium has only been found on Mars and is believed to have been synthetically produced by the Martians in a fashion similar to Areanetium. This element is a member of the Superactinide group. Golgathium is the first element whose ground state electron configuration contains an electron in a g subshell, making it the first element in the g-block. However, neither lanthanum nor actininum show such a predicted ground state for the f-block, and lie in the transition metals. As expected golgathium's third electron also hangs up. Other elements have access to their g subshells, though not in their ground states.
