Hank Myers, the Cowhand on the Ponderosa, is lovesick, because the plain-looking spinster and teacher Abigail Jones has rejected him. In order to catch Abigail's interest (and to prevent further smashing of the furniture on the Ponderosa due to Hank's unhappiness) Little Joe and Hoss make several plans. After their first plan backfires, they convince Adam to help. This makes things worse, because Abigail now believes it's Adam who's wooing her. Hank thinks Adam is trying to steal her away, but he demands of Adam to make her happy.

| - Hank Myers, the Cowhand on the Ponderosa, is lovesick, because the plain-looking spinster and teacher Abigail Jones has rejected him. In the following Little Joe and Hoss listen to Hank who's singing in the stables while he's tenderly grooming his horse. Both can convince Adam to teach Hank singing, but Hank always sings through his nose. The next scheme that Hank is lip synching Adam's singing also fails. Then, after all hope has gone, Abigail hears Hank singing (throgh his nose!) in the saloon and suddenly she falls in love with him. They marry soon.
