Ed Dillinger's Desk was a technologically advanced desktop with a computer terminal monitor and touch-sensitive keyboard and buttons built right into the surface. It allowed Dilinger direct access with the MCP, utilizing both text display and synthesized speech. Other featured of the desk included "standby mode" where the MCP could actually listen in on other people's conversations. The desk terminal could also display security camera feeds, 3D wireframes, still imagery and presentations, complete with transitions.
