Spencer Monroe is a main character and later an antagonist first encountered in Issue 72 of Image Comics' The Walking Dead. He is the son of Douglas and Regina Monroe and a resident living at the Alexandria Safe-Zone. Spencer is a rather hesitant man who has ideas, but can't carry them out to the best of his abilities. He is somewhat on Rick Grimes' side after the death of his father, though after the Saviors become involved, Spencer is entirely against Rick and his actions. Spencer's hesitant behavior towards overthrowing Rick himself, however, leads to his own downfall. He served as the secondary antagonist of Volume 19: March To War.
