The mainhand slot is the equipment slot all weapons are equipped to. An example of a weapon would be a Dragon scimitar. The mainhand slot also doubles as the primary two-handed slot. When a two-handed weapon, such as the Chaotic maul or Armadyl godsword, is equipped, the item is equipped to the mainhand slot, but also takes up the offhand slot, preventing the player from equipping an offhand item without unequipping the two-handed item.
