- The Crystal Key is a magical item and one of the twelve Royal Magical Treasures of Amarillia. The Crystal Key was discovered in an ice monolith by explorers during an expedition in the Frozen Wastes . The crystal of the key burns the flesh of who takes the key, thus forcing peoples wanting to take it to use piece of leather, or other protections. However, the key get the power to open any lock. Therefore, the Crystal Key was given to the king.
- There are three types of Crystal Keys:
* Ruby Keys are dropped by the Ruby of Ahdashim in the Trial of Eternity (first) Chamber, and are used to open the Ruby Guarded Chest in the Trial of Wisdom Chamber.
* Diamond Keys are dropped by the Diamond of Ahdashim in the Trial of Divinity (second) Chamber, and are used to open the Diamond Guarded Chest in the same chamber.
* Sapphire Keys are dropped by the Sapphire of Ahdashim in the Trial of Wisdom (third) Chamber, and are used to open the Sapphire Guarded Chest in the Trial of Eternity Chamber.
- Tooth and loop halves can be obtained as rewards from Barrows, the Gnome Restaurant minigame, Managing Miscellania, Treasure Trails and random events. This key may not be used with the steel key ring, which is only for reusable keys. File:Crystal chest location.png
- A Crystal key is a key that created by combining the two key halves (tooth half and loop half) together. The key is used to open a chest located in a building found in Taverley by simply using the key with the chest. After being used on the chest, the key then disappears. By opening the chest, the player will always receive an uncut dragonstone as well as a chance of other possible items from the chest.
- The crystal key may be obtained as a drop from the Kalphite Queen, Blue Dragons, and the King Black Dragon. It has no apparent use.
- It is created by combining a tooth half of a key with a loop half of a key, displaying the message "You join the two halves of the key together." Doing so will grant you 10 Crafting experience. The crystal key can only be used on the chest once. After it is used, it disappears. Tooth and loop halves can be obtained as rewards from Barrows, the Evil Tree event, the Gnome Restaurant activity, Managing Miscellania, as well as burning Vyrewatch corpses. Luck enhancers increase the chance for halves to be dropped by monsters who have access to the rare drop table.
- Crystal key is the result of a Tooth half of a key and a Loop half of a key. These keys open the chest that is located in South neitiznot, west of the member bank. Upon use, the key will disappear and allow the user to loot from the chest. The chest awards gems, runes, armour, seeds, and other skilling related items for different skills. One can get the key from very rare drops in PvM , getting it from Caskets, or from making it with the key halves.

- The only monsters who drop the whole crystal key are Kree'arra and the Corporeal Beast. It can be additionally obtained from looting a kingly impling or a magpie impling, the treasure from an elite clue scroll, the magical chest from the dwarven instinct aura, using a crystal triskelion, or as a reward for dispatching an Evil Tree. Wearing a ring of wealth will increase the chances for better results. This key may not be used with the steel key ring, which is only for reusable keys.
