She is basically an alien god that comes from a planet which inhabitants are Female. (and also alien gods) This planet was visited by two factions of Cybertronians who were currently on the planets, Earth and Cybertron. They didn't want them to cause any havoc on the jungle-planet. (which has lots of lakes, rivers, waterfalls, oceans, and other bodies of water) So the factions fought on its moons, and Kazumi was asked if she wanted to join one faction, by their leader who bore a relic. She thought about it, and somewhat hesitated, while talking to Animals about the choices, and asking them what she should do. One said to join the Decepticons, while three said to join the Autobots. Since Democracy works that way, she then joined the Autobots, and said bye to all of her friends on the planet
