Nekhatw (pronounced neh-KAH-too) is the capitol of Hawu Mumenhes. Nakhatw is the nation's leading religious center and an important cultural hub, but it is not the country's largest city. Nekhatw is situated in the far-western sepat of Saisyut and serves as the seat of the head of state and supreme court while the eastern city of Aqqak serves as the seat of the head of government and national legislature. These disparate residences are maintained to ensure the separation of powers required under Hawu Mumenhes's Constitution. Because Nekhatw is the primary residence of the Elected Monarch, it enjoys the distinction of being the national capitol. The Elected Monarch could choose to change the nation's capitol by simply designating another city as his or her primary residence.
