Gene Tapia (March 16, 1925 - April 12, 2005) was a NASCAR driver from Mobile, AL. He competed in four Nextel Cup Series events in his career. Tapia's debut came in 1951, when he competed at his home track of Mobile. Starting 23rd in the field of twenty-four, Tapia struggled in the event and finished 20th. He wasn't too much better later in the year, recording a pair of 17ths (in twenty-two car fields) at Macon and another Mobile race.
