| - Bruenor Battlehammer was the eighth and tenth king of Mithral Hall from 1356 DR - 1362 DR and 1370 DR - 1409 DR. He was the dwarven adoptive father of Catti-brie and Wulfgar, friend to Drizzt Do'Urden and Regis, crafter of Aegis-fang, and a member of the Companions of the Hall. He was reincarnated in 1463 DR as Reginald Roundshield of Citadel Felbarr.

He has also appeared in subsequent books as the trusted dwarven companion to popular drow hero Drizzt Do'Urden . Bruenor is the adoptive father of Catti-brie and Wulfgar, King of Mithral Hall, friend to Drizzt and companion Regis, and crafter of Aegis-fang. He was run out of his home of Mithral Hall when he was just a young boy. His family took up residence in Icewind Dale close to Ten Towns.
- Bruenor Battlehammer, a dwarf that lived in Icewind Dale, was the last descendent to the throne of Mithral Hall. Took Catti-Brie in as his own when she was a young girl, airgo the dwarfin accent. Also took in Wulfgar of the Elk Tribe during the Battle of Icewind Dale when Bruenor knocked him unconcious. Befriended Drizzt do-urden, was suspicious at first, but became friends over time. Created the mighty hammer Aegis-fang, for his "son" Wulfgar. Gained golden mithral armor and weapons from his forefathers when he enters Mithral Hall with his friends the first time. Killer of Shimmergloom, the ruling dragon of Mithral Hall.
