Cacaw Te is a Mayan rights leader and activist, and a prime suspect in the murder of Will Medina early on in "Wrapped Up in Death". Mr. Te is vehement on the subject of his people's entitlements and status, and has previously been arrested for assaulting tourists who violated sacred ground. Beckett barters the felony threat charges in return for Te's telling Castle how to be free of the curse. The mystery writer determinedly preserves the secret that is shared with him, however, and we are left to speculate as to what being free of mummy entailed.
