Puss in Boots(長靴をはいた猫Nagagutsu o Haita Neko, literally The Cat Who Wore Boots) is a 1969 Japanese animated feature film adaptation of Charles Perrault's fairy tale of the same name. Hayao Miyazaki worked as a storyboard artist and key animator on the film. Miyazaki also wrote the manga adaptation, which was serialized in Chūnichi Shinbun Nichiyō Ban (Chunichi Newspaper Sunday Version). The main character, Pero the cat is the mascot of Toei Animation. Pero's name is shortened from Perrault.

Discotek Media has released an English language version on DVD along with the original Japanese with English subtitles and a music and effects track in Region 1 NTSC format in the USA, under the title The Wonderful World of Puss 'n Boots.
