Lord Mews is the secretary to Aeonisig Raispher and a member of the Inquisition of Saradomin. A member of the royal court, he usually keeps to himself. In 165, after Lord Hyett's attack at night, Mews and two colleagues attempted to arrest Lord William de Adlard for interrogation due to suspected involvement with the Zamorakian insurrection. He informed a shocked and panicking William of his cousin Rudolph's and uncle's involvements and deaths before having him seized. However, Sir Theodore interfered, confronting and physically hurting Mews. The knight then repeatedly submerged Mews' head in a trough of water before leaving him and his companions, who fled the scene in terror.

However, Sir Theodore interfered, confronting and physically hurting Mews. The knight then repeatedly submerged Mews' head in a trough of water before leaving him and his companions, who fled the scene in terror. Shortly before Papelford and his undead army would attack, Mews and several other people were sitting in the antechamber of King Botolph's Tower and he scolded Pia when she entered uninvited. During the battle itself, Mews and his inquisitors initially participated, fighting off the incoming undead, but fled out of the tower when Ellamaria detonated Ebenezer's bomb. Mews and his men retreated to the palace, soon followed by the other survivors of the tower's collapse. Oblivious to his true allegiances, Mews let in Papelford, to which the undead renewed their attacks. Following the Second Battle of the Salve, the Inquisition was abolished, and Lord Mews presumably returned to his former duties.
