- The Lightning Rune, one of the five elemental runes, is a staple rune in all of the Suikoden series, and has appeared in every main Suikoden game to date. A child rune of the True Lightning Rune, it is a rune that holds lightning magic, which can attack one or multiple foes. Unlike the Fire Rune, the Lightning Rune has no chance of accidentally hitting allies. The higher tier of the Lightning Rune is called the Thunder Rune.
