- Ute was one of the main characters on Sesamstrasse, the German version of Sesame Street, for some of the first half-decade of the show (1981-1983). She was played by Ute Willing, and even though the character's last name was never revealed, the show made it appear as if the actress was basically playing herself. She was friends with Muppet characters Samson, Tiffy, Uli von Bödefeld and Finchen, and was paired with human character Horst.
