The Leptosphinctinae is a subfamily of perisphinctid ammonites from the middle Jurassic, named by Arkell, 1950, characterized by generally involute shells, commonly ribbed and with a deep umbilicus. Includes the following genera: Leptosphinctes, Bajocisphinctes, Bigotites, Prorsisphinctes, and Vermisphinctes.
