Maurice is a hapless casanova who appears in the televised version of the Sesame Street song "I Want to Hold Your Ear". In that song, when he puts a Pumpkin Anything Muppet woman's head together, Maurice tells her that he loves her, but it turns out that she doesn't love him. Maurice then proceeds to take her head apart, bit by bit, as he sings "I Want to Hold Your Ear" (as well as eyes, nose, tooth, and hair).
