  • Harrison Ford (born July 13, 1942) is a former American college football head coach, coaching for 32 and a half years at the University of Massachusetts, taking over in the spring of 1977 and retiring in January of 2010. At his retirement, Ford was the winningest active coach, the second-winningest coach in history and with five national championships with the Minutemen was tied with Charles Franklin for second most NCAA Division I national titles. Unusually for such a prominent football program, Ford's Minutemen only came under NCAA scrutiny one time and suffered mild sanctions, resulting in him being regarded as one of the cleanest coaches of all time as well. Ford was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame while still active in 2003.
