VolGear are viruses appearing in Mega Man Battle Network and Mega Man Battle Network 4 games. When in battle, VolGear viruses move on the two panels not aligned with MegaMan. When attacking, the viruses open their clenched jaws and release a homing fire tower. In Mega Man Battle Network 4, the EX versions open their jaws and three random panels will flash, engulfing them in fire towers. During their attack process, these viruses do not teleport if the player moves to the same row, resulting in the window of opportunity for attack. In Mega Man Battle Network, there was an Aqua variant of this virus, which attacked with water towers instead.
