The House of Potter is best known due to its members being direct descendents of Godric Gryffindor through his daughter. The noble house became extinct after the murder of James Potter, who was at the time the King-Emperor Consort of All the Russias and Portugal, as well as the Duke of Hogsmeade. The titles of the House of Potter then passed down to his son, who was born as a member of the House of Habsburg-Anemas and not as a Potter (although many belived that he had been born as such).
