An oldbie is a PPCer who has been around for a long time—by PPC standards, two or three years. Contrast newbie. Since the PPC began in late 2001 and has had its message board since 2003, there are few of the original Boarder oldbies left. Jay and Acacia have long since retired, and one need only compare the signatures of the original PPC Constitution to the names on the message board to see just how high the turnover rate is; at a rough guess, and disregarding some Boarders who have stayed around a lot longer than expected, the PPC is now into its fourth or fifth generation of oldbies. Oldbies tend to hang together out of habit, but are more than happy to welcome newbies on Board.

- An oldbie is the name for a long standing member of the Community. The term's meaning depends on who is using it - newcomers to the CC might use it to refer to those who had been around for several years, while those same people might only use it when referring to the few "old timers" who have been present since the release of the original Creatures 1 (1996), or at least Creatures 2 (1998).
