Bretesuchus is an extinct genus of bretesuchid sebecosuchian mesoeucrocodylian. Fossils have been found from northwestern Argentina and date back to the late Paleocene. The highly bent premaxilla show that it lies within the suborder Sebecosuchia, a group of strictly South American terestrial carnivorous crocodylomorphs with distinctive laterally compressed snouts.
