Souls At Zero began as Wrathchild America (and as just Wrathchild before that, although they got sued by a British band of the same name and had to add the “America” at the end of it), although after being dropped by Atlantic Recording Corporation after only two albums, they changed their name to Souls At Zero, along with a bit of their musical style. Souls At Zero broke up after only three releases, all of which were handled by Energy Rekords

abstract
  • Souls At Zero began as Wrathchild America (and as just Wrathchild before that, although they got sued by a British band of the same name and had to add the “America” at the end of it), although after being dropped by Atlantic Recording Corporation after only two albums, they changed their name to Souls At Zero, along with a bit of their musical style. Whereas Wrathchild America dealt mainly with thrash metal and mixing all kinds of [non-metal] styles together, Souls At Zero were just mostly power and groove metal. Granted, some of the old Wrathchild America crept up here and there – such as the thrash in “Welcome to the 90s” and the ending to “Frustration”, along with the jazz bit in “Flies” – but those moments were few and far in between. Souls At Zero broke up after only three releases, all of which were handled by Energy Rekords
