Tripolis (Τρίπολις in Greek and formerly known as Ischopolis); was an ancient fortress and city located in Pontus Polemoniacus with a good harbor. It is now a site and namesake of the city Tirebolu in Giresun Province, Turkey. It belonged to the Mossynoeci that was situated at a distance of 18 km east from Cape Zephyrium. The fort is situated on a rocky headland.
