Prince Hailstorm is an IceWing who was placed under a spell by Ex-Queen Scarlet using a piece of Darkstalker's Talisman. While under the spell, he was in the form of the female SkyWing called Pyrite who was loyal to Queen Scarlet. Prince Winter, Hailstorm's brother, broke the spell by crushing Pyrite's necklace. He was seen again in Part 3 in Darkness of Dragons, when he was with the new queen of the IceWings (Snowfall), his father, Narwhal, and the Dragonets of Destiny. He watched helplessly as Narwhal got killed by two NightWings, protecting the queen, then he, Prince Winter, and the other IceWings started to battle against Darkstalker’s army.
