This method is intended for gross measurement it cannot be relied on to distinguish between liquids whose viscosities are very close to each other. Since different manufacturers and different syringe models may have different apertures or other dimensions, you really need to use identical models from the same manufacturer. Two different model 20 ml. syringes can yield very different results. Times taken from videos of test. Syringe filled to the 20 ml. level. Video recording is started. The plug is removed. Frame times are recorded for the moment when liquid first emerges from the nozzle when the fluid reaches the 15 ml, 10ml and 0ml marks.
