The Purity Heart is created to be the embodiment of love, the only thing believed to stop the Chaos Heart. According to Merlumina, the Purity Heart was divided into eight Pure Hearts in order to protect them from evil. The Pure Hearts were taken to different parts of the meta-universe. Once the heroes of light collected all the Pure Hearts, they would combine them to make the Purity Heart, thus shattering the Choas Heart and stopping The Void.
