Though the concepts of the "Order of the White Dragon" and the "Imperial Cult" have been abandoned, it would seem that one good thing has been forged from the indecisions and conflicted opinions that have been associated with such ideas - namely, a set of doctrines on faith and spirituality that the have been adopted as Fastheld's "official" guidelines on such matters - most of which were generally accepted as "unwritten rules" before a name was ever given to them.

  • Though the concepts of the "Order of the White Dragon" and the "Imperial Cult" have been abandoned, it would seem that one good thing has been forged from the indecisions and conflicted opinions that have been associated with such ideas - namely, a set of doctrines on faith and spirituality that the have been adopted as Fastheld's "official" guidelines on such matters - most of which were generally accepted as "unwritten rules" before a name was ever given to them. Known as "The Order" for reasons that should be obvious, it can best be described as the adoption of the doctrines of the failed Order of the White Dragon as an Imperial guideline of faith and spirituality for all citizens of the Empire to attempt to live by and understand without the need for the state to offer direction on a personal level. "The Order" will also be used as the benchmark from which to decide what is - and what is not - heretical and/or damaging on a social and spiritual level. For example, the unorthodox views of Sun's Keep could be said to be damaging, if not sectarian, due to their opinion that all Shadow Touched individuals - regardless of age, sex, occupation, or social status - should be purged from the Empire via death. "The Order" is not an absolute that is enforced by laws and regulations, however, and the term 'guidelines' should be stressed. It is unlikely that this doctrine will serve as little more than the "official stance" of government organizations unless individuals themselves choose to adopt them their own morale compass.
