Lapemis is a genus of sea snakes. It contains only two members: * Shaw's Sea Snake, Lapemis curtus (Shaw, 1802) * Spine-bellied Sea Snake, Lapemis hardwickii Gray, 1834 In 1990 Voris and Gritis determined that these two species are distinct. Both members are very venomous, as with all sea snakes. They are found in the Pacific and Indian Oceans.
