The Battle of the Cron Drift was a skirmish fought between a Galactic Alliance strike force and a small team of Jedi led by Jedi Master Teras Olin in the Cron Drift, marking the beginning of the Second Jedi Civil War. The Alliance force was led into the asteroid belt by the Jedi to prevent them from reaching the Jedi Praxeum on Rhen Var, which was their original target. Unable to keep track of enemy starfighters and the asteroids around them, the attacking Alliance force was quickly thinned down. Driven into a rage, Teras, piloting the Guilty Spark, destroyed eleven enemy fighters himself, for no other reason than being in his way on his rampage to destroy the Sparrow with Paxis on board. The Galactic Alliance force was sent into retreat, and Teras was prepared to pursue them, but was dissuaded by Jamei Hailon.
