| - "Little" Ali Osman, played by Omer Mustafa Salih, is the second son born to café owners Sue and Ali Osman. He is born in March 1988 and is delivered in his parent's flat, 47B Albert Square, by the unlikely midwives, Lofty Holloway and Pauline Fowler. Following his parents' split, his mother takes him away from Walford in April 1989. The next month his father snatches him back from his mother, which culminates in Sue having a mental breakdown and being sectioned. Little Ali then lives with his father, who struggles as a single parent and employs an unregistered child minder to care for his son while he works. When health visitor Carmel Jackson begins to notice that Little Ali is not being cared for adequately, she does some investigating and discovers that the unregistered child minder is neglecting the children in her care, leaving them alone all day. Unable to look after his son, Ali gives Little Ali to some relatives who live outside Walford. Ali's monetary problems continue and he eventually leaves Walford in October 1989 when he loses his home and business. Little Ali now lives in Northern Cyprus with his father.
