In 2012, Doctor Ivo Robotnik launched a large offensive on the Seaside Hill Zone, sending "hundreds" of Badniks to attack as part of his global assault on Mobius. At the time, the Zone Leader had made a deal directly with Don Long-Legs, with the head of The Family providing support and muscle in event of attack, in return for money and personal favours. Upon sighting the Badnik attack, the Zone Leader contacted Long-Legs for help.

At the time, the Zone Leader had made a deal directly with Don Long-Legs, with the head of The Family providing support and muscle in event of attack, in return for money and personal favours. Upon sighting the Badnik attack, the Zone Leader contacted Long-Legs for help. Later that day, the Zone Leader was joined by Herne and other Family members in defence of the Seaside Hill Zone. Later still, he received a visit from Harvestman with a package that was supposed to turn the tide in his favour. Unfortunately, due to a mix-up involving Big the Cat back at Buddy's Bistro, Harvestman could only provide the shark with an extra spicy pepperoni pizza. Furious that Don Long-Legs had appeared to renege on their deal, the Zone Leader angrily discarded the pizza into the melee of Badniks behind him. At the same time, the "Little Friend" bomb that Big had just lost on his way to the Seaside City Zone also landed in the scrap, destroying all of the Badniks. The Zone Leader was left dumb-founded that a pizza had saved the day.
