Arriving at the safe zone, they find the area burnt out and believe all of the occupants to be dead. Roger finds Francine's locket just as Lewis chops off Greg's other leg. Captured for future food, they are rescued by Francine, Hayley and Steve who tell them that Francine had traded her locket for flip flops for the shower, but they had left the zone when they discovered that the showers were communal.
