She redeemed her youngest brother, Akate Antilles in 3,916 BBY. She had an extensive knowledge of the Force and was taught many things by her master, Mical. She escaped while Akate defended the temple on the Battle for Coruscant, with her other brother, Wilan Antilles. After the war, she left the order to get married to a Grey Jedi's son, Canderous Rand, keeping her maiden name. She gave birth to their son, Mical Rand. Jaia later died on her homeworld during a duel with Darth Vilen.
