Alexios II (1863 - 1940) was King of Nicaea and Co-Regent of Constantinople from 1891 to 1940, and the son of Romanos II Anemas and Theophano Anemas. He married Princess Maria of Hesse and by Rhine. The two had a single child, Philip Anemas. In 1891 he would succeed his father, and become King of Nicaea and Co-Regent of Constantinople. He was the penultimate member of the main Anemid dynasty to rule over Nicaea and Constantinople. After his death, he was succeeded by his son Philip.
