Bernardi has wrestled throughout the world in Canada, Mexico, and the United States. She wrestled for promoter D.W. Van Vleet before leaving to work as an independent contractor. Maria Bernardi retired in 1963 to care for an ill-sister, but continued working in the wrestling business through being a prominent member of the Cauliflower Alley Club.
