He was often a guest of Jabba's at podraces, like the Boonta Eve Classic, parties, and other things. Jabba invited Grubo to come with him on his sail barge, in 4 ABY, to witness the execution of Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, and Chewbacca. He and Jabba sat on his fellow Hutt's throne and watched the fight outside of their windows. When Grubo saw Jabba's newest slave, Leia Organa, reaching for the chains, he struggled to stop her, but she managed to pull a blanket underneath him and he fell and hit his head on the floor, knocking him unconscious. Jabba saw this and told his guard sot get her, but she was already strangling him.
