Duskblade is an enchanted halberd +2. It has the same properties as a Halberd +2 as well with 1d10 +2 points of piercing damage, 7 speed factor +2 THACO bonus and a weight of 12 lbs, but it inflicts +2 points of cold damage when hitting an enemy, which also raises the value of the item. This item appears in Baldur's Gate II: Shadows of Amn and this item will probably appear in Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition. This weapon is dropped by Shade Patrick during the battle between the Shade Lord at the Ruined Temple area during the side quest to stop the murders in Umar Hills.

- The duskblade is a combination of arcane caster and melee fighter. They typically serve as support characters not being able to specialize in combat or casting as certain other classes can. In Eberron, duskblades are most likely come from Aundair, where they may have served to support war mages cadres, such as the Ninth Wands, in the Last War. The may also be trained to serve at Arcanix, to guard the wizards there in a physical capacity, but also requiring, due to the nature of the place, to have an understanding of magical forces.
- Sabre weapon. Similar in build to an Assassin, with strength up to about 100, and all the rest in Dexterity. Vitality, as with Assassin, is by player preference. The most popular build for Duskblades is the same as for all Light-Armor-designed classes (Archers, Assassins and Duskblades): one point of Strength per level, with the rest in Dexterity Duskblades have the multiple target Area Effect attacks of a Blademaster, and the stun-teleport attacks of an Assassin. They also have some damage reduction.
