Near the end of the First Havenite-Manticoran War, he held the rank of Major and was assigned to ONI's Covert Insertion Team with his partner Major Charles Gonzalvez. Gonzalves convinced him to go to Prague just for the fun of it, but once there, the two ended up assisting the defection of the Havenite Admiral Mládek while being chased around the planet by the Office of State Security. But he ran into Rachel Covilla. It was then that he learned she was an ONI captain, who aided them in their escape with the defecting Admiral. After the incident on Prague, they met up again and renewed their relationship. (HHA4.4: LGTP)
