Felipe de Jesús Calderón Hinojosa (b. August 18, 1962) is the current Prime Minister of Mexico, heading the government of Carlos II. Calderón defeated then-Prime Minister Vicente Fox in the 2008 leadership election. Prior to being Prime Minister, Calderón served as Secretary of Defense under Vicente Fox, and was known for going around Prime Minister Fox, and reporting directly to Eduardo II, before his leadership victory.
