DeLay, former director of DeLay's Americans for a Republican Majority Political Action Committee (ARMPAC), and DeLay fundraiser, ran and served as the registered agent for Ed Buckham's Republican Majority Issues Committee (RMIC). [1] "[W]hen tobacco companies wanted to keep the Food and Drug Administration from regulating their industry, they looked to former DeLay staffer Karl Gallant at [Buckham's] Alexander Strategy Group." [2] Gallant lobbied for Reynolds American on tobacco regulation.[3]
