This dream is associated with Gates to Oblivion. Date: D137, Y976. You are perched on the edge of an awning covering a small stage. Before you spreads a meadow at the bottom of a small hollow in the surrounding hills. Around the edges of the meadow, you see numerous luxurious pavilions - the smallest and cheapest is made entirely of silk and could easily hold 20 men, the largest is almost a palace in tent form. In the meadow itself are chairs, some of which are more properly described as "travelling thrones", each with it's own sahde umbrella. Sitting, circulating, and mixing about in the meadow are most of the sultans, emirs, and beys of the Xalar Empire. One of the more prominent groups circulating about the crowd contains two people that you recognize - Cid Damodred and Jamal.

Though you can hear their conversations, the groups closest to you are complaining about the number of changes the Emperor has made since he took the throne; most of these changes seem to be focused on restraining the noble's power, others at enhancing the Emperor's, and often both. One section of the crowd also seems rather upset at the rumors of a marriage proposal sent to the Illigyr Empress; though you can't ascertain any coherent reasons.
