Police found that Walter had a small fortune of $140,000, and no known heirs or family members. All that could be determined about Walter was that he was born in 1920, he never married, had no children, had several brothers and sisters, and worked at a restaurant in Connecticut for ten years. They also found that he had a passport with several exotic locations stamped in it. However, none of Walter's heirs could be located. Extra Notes: The case was featured as a part of the January 26, 1994 episode. Results: Unresolved. Three years after Walter was found, all of his money and inheritance was given to the State because no heirs were ever found. Links: * Article about Walter Rice * Walter Rice at Find a Grave
