Suey the Pig appeared in episode 3525 of Sesame Street. Initially, Suey was shown to be shy and very self-conscious, telling Big Bird, Shari Lewis and Lamb Chop that nobody will like her because she's a pig. Recognizing the likability Big Bird and Lamb Chop have, she attempted to change her image and become a bird, then a lamb. They assured Suey that they liked her just the way she was and, per her request, sang a song about it. As a result, Suey saw her value and decided to go into show business under the stage name "Pork Chop," already planning a TV series, Pork Chop's Play Along.
