Carolyn Figgus was a twenty-two year old Petty Officer 3rd Class who was the victim of serial killer Brett Evans. Figgus vanished eighteenth months prior to the events in "The Good Wives Club" as one day while she was on her way to work, she was kidnapped and held prisoner in an airtight ammo bunker. While there, she was forced to become Evans's "wife" while wearing nothing but a single wedding dress and a wedding ring with her new "home" being a 50s styled environment.

While there, she was forced to become Evans's "wife" while wearing nothing but a single wedding dress and a wedding ring with her new "home" being a 50s styled environment. Deceased Agent Christopher Pacci investigated Figgus's disappearance but the case went cold due to a lack of any possible leads. Upon realizing that Figgus was not the woman he sought, Evans sealed off the bunker, essentially cutting off her air supply which caused Figgus to eventually suffocate and die with her remains becoming mummified. Her body was found by a group of workers who alerted NCIS to the finding, prompting Leroy Jethro Gibbs and his Major Case Response Team to investigate.
