The Danny Phantom Theme is, as its title suggests, the theme song that appears at the beginning of every episode of Danny Phantom. The song explains Danny's origins for the benefit of the audience. Two different versions of the song were written, with different lyrics. The version ultimately used in the show is heavily sung in rap, performed by Deric Battiste (rap) and Guy Moon (backup). The discarded version of the song was storyboarded, but never fully animated. In a March 2006 interview, Butch Hartman stated that the original opening theme was heavily inspired by Queen's "The Invisible Man".

In the show's second season, the opening sequence was given a minor alteration, in the form of Danny's new emblem being added to his costume. "Memory Blank", the episode in which Danny gains the emblem, was the last episode to use the original opening sequence.
